One of the best parts of opening Happy Hour is the community. We missed having “coworkers” to sit with at lunch and discuss our obsessions of late. This post is just a few things that have come up around the office in the last month.
Our candle of the moment...
Claire introduced us all to the Hotel Lobby candles and just in time for fall. They are soy wax, made in the US by a small, woman-owned business, and packaged beautifully – ready to be gifted! Or kept for yourself, you deserve nice candles too. The scents are luxurious and smell like a bougie hotel. Claire’s favorites are the Signature (often burning in our furniture showroom) and Paris Nuit. Check them out and let us know how you like them!
A great new local spot...
To know Sacramento is to know that they don’t call us the farm to fork capital of the nation for nothing. The food and bev scene here is pretty great. We tried out Nico Wine Bar recently and if you like natural wine (or just good wine in general) you’ll love this R Street gem. Aynsley highly recommends any orange wine, but the one from Swick was especially good. Give them a sip and let us know what you think!

You’ve definitely heard us talking about our furniture line and if you haven’t, go check out this post! There are so many gorgeous pieces in, but one in particular stood out this week. The Henley ottoman is the perfect combination of “I want to kick my feet up but still have a cute coffee table moment.” At 48” wide and 19” deep you can stack a few books on the bottom, pop a tray with your favorite candle on top, and still have plenty of room to lounge.
